Singapore-based startup OMOWAY aims to change how people think about two-wheel riding with its upcoming OMO-X, which it touts as the world’s first mass-produced self-balancing e-motorcycle designed to eliminate riders’ fear of losing balance.
At the core of the OMO-X is the HALO Pilot system, which combines vision processing with self-balancing technology to keep the bike upright, even at low speeds. This makes it especially appealing for beginners or casual riders who may struggle with stability in traffic or at a standstill.
Beyond balance, OMOWAY is packing in smart features typically seen in cars, including adaptive cruise control, one-touch parking, and a summon function. A 10.25-inch smart cockpit provides navigation and charging data, while connectivity features like a digital key and vehicle-to-vehicle communication aim to enhance both convenience and safety.
The bike also offers three riding modes, Scooter, Street, and GT, allowing it to adapt to different riding styles, loads, and conditions. Its software continuously adjusts to rider input and even learns routes over time to better anticipate road conditions.
Backed by strong EV industry players and fresh funding, OMOWAY is targeting Southeast Asia as a key market, with plans for a global rollout. Pre-orders are expected to begin at the end of April, ahead of an official launch in May.
If it delivers on its promises, the OMO-X could make motorcycling more accessible than ever, bringing a new level of ease and confidence to riders.
