Mforce Bike Holdings has announced the development of a new 200cc motorcycle model featuring a CVT transmission and an innovative concept called “Skuchai.” The project aims to combine scooter styling with a kapchai-style engine platform and automatic transmission, creating what the company describes as an entirely new segment in the two-wheel industry.
The “Skuchai” concept merges three key elements into a single platform: scooter-inspired design and ergonomics, a moped-based engine architecture, and a CVT automatic transmission commonly found in modern scooters. According to Mforce, this unique combination has never been implemented before on a production motorcycle.
To bring the project to life, the company has invested RM10 million into research and development. The funding covers design engineering, durability testing, prototype development and technical adaptation to ensure the model meets both Malaysian and international market requirements.

The new model is designed to deliver scooter-like comfort and practicality, while retaining the lightweight durability and simplicity associated with kapchai motorcycles. The CVT transmission eliminates the need for manual gear shifting, making the bike more convenient for daily commuting while still being capable of medium-distance rides and leisure touring.
Mforce says the concept will offer a smooth and responsive riding experience, positioning the Skuchai as a versatile motorcycle that bridges the gap between scooters and traditional mopeds.
The development of the project is being carried out through a strategic collaboration with one of Mforce’s technology partners in China, marking the first major project undertaken by the partner company since its establishment in early 2025.
At the same time, Malaysian engineers played an important role in the early development phase, contributing to the concept creation, design sketches and clay modelling before the project entered the prototype stage. The collaboration between local and international teams is expected to ensure the final product is technologically competitive while also meeting the preferences of regional riders.

According to Asri Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer of Mforce, the company’s goal is to challenge industry norms by introducing something entirely new to the global motorcycle market. He explained that combining scooter design, a moped-style engine layout and CVT transmission into one platform has created a concept that stands apart from existing categories.
The prototype has already been completed and is currently undergoing pre-production durability testing and performance evaluation. The testing phase includes simulations of daily commuting conditions as well as longer-distance riding to ensure the bike meets high standards of safety, durability and reliability.
Mforce also confirmed that the Skuchai prototype will make its first public appearance at the Malaysia Bike Show 2026, scheduled to take place in May. The event will serve as the official platform to introduce the concept to motorcycle enthusiasts, industry players and international media.
If development progresses smoothly, the official launch of the new Skuchai model is expected in the first quarter of 2027, with full specifications and pricing details to be revealed closer to the launch date.
