Honda has officially revealed two exciting concept motorcycles, the CB400 SUPER FOUR E-Clutch Concept and CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch Concept during the 42nd Osaka Motorcycle Show 2026, held at INTEX Osaka from March 20 to 22.
The unveiling highlights Honda’s vision for the future of middleweight motorcycles, combining next-generation inline-four performance with advanced rider-focused technologies.

A modern evolution of the iconic CB400 SUPER FOUR
The CB400 SUPER FOUR E-Clutch Concept is developed under the theme “Next Stage CB – Every moment leads to excitement.” Designed as a versatile naked sport motorcycle, it aims to deliver a balanced and enjoyable riding experience across various conditions.
Drawing inspiration from the original 1992 CB400 SUPER FOUR, the concept retains its signature Japanese naked styling while introducing modern updates. This approach reflects Honda’s effort to evolve the long-standing CB lineage into a new era, blending heritage with modern innovation.

CBR400R FOUR Concept brings everyday sport riding to the next level
Meanwhile, the CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch Concept is built around the theme “New Generation Sport – Everyday exhilaration.” The full-fairing sportbike focuses on enhancing the emotional connection between rider and machine, especially in moments where riding enjoyment takes center stage.
Its design features sharp, sculpted surfaces inspired by machined metal, paired with a futuristic lighting signature that emphasizes its advanced and performance-oriented character.

New platform, new engine, and advanced riding technologies
Both concept models are based on an all-new platform, incorporating a newly developed chassis and suspension setup engineered to maximise riding enjoyment.
At the heart of these machines is a new inline-four engine, paired with Honda’s latest electronic innovations. Key highlights include Honda’s E-Clutch system, enabling automatic clutch control for smoother and more accessible riding, and also Throttle-by-Wire which helps to deliver precise and responsive throttle input
Together, these technologies aim to enhance control, comfort, and overall riding dynamics, making the bikes more engaging for both new and experienced riders.
More appearances at major Japanese motorcycle shows
Following their debut in Osaka, both the CB400 SUPER FOUR E-Clutch Concept and CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch Concept will continue their showcase at upcoming major events in Japan, including:
- Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2026 (Tokyo Big Sight, March 27–29)
