The first Boss Hoss featured a Chevy 350 crate engine, a massive 8-gallon gas tank, and even a car tire on the rear to handle the immense weight. By the late 1990s, the BHC-3 ZZ4 SS boasted a 5.7-liter V8 producing 355 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, paired with a two-speed automatic transmission and upgraded suspension.
Today, Boss Hoss Cruisers push the envelope further. The 496 ci Big Block delivers 600 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque with a wet weight of 1,226 lbs.
