Some riders win races. Toni Bou collects milestones.
At Round 7 of the X-Trial World Championship, the Repsol Honda HRC star delivered yet another masterclass inside Palau Sant Jordi, storming to his 19th career victory at the iconic Barcelona venue and tightening his grip on the 2026 title race.
From the opening lap, Bou made his intentions clear. He cleaned five of the first six sections and dropped just a single penalty point, immediately jumping to the top of the standings and cruising into the final alongside Jaime Busto and teammate Gabriel Marcelli.
Then came Super Pole: the high-pressure dash that decides the starting order. Bou didn’t just edge it; he dominated it. He blitzed all four sections with the fastest time of the night, earning prime position for the decisive run.
The final added seven punishing sections, raising both the difficulty and the stakes. But Bou looked untouchable. Riding with his trademark precision and calm, he controlled the damage, kept mistakes minimal and wrapped up the win with one section still to ride. He finished on just 12 points, extending his championship lead to a commanding margin.
It wasn’t only Bou flying the Honda flag. Marcelli delivered a gritty performance in front of the home crowd to secure third place. While he admitted he never fully found his rhythm, he battled hard through the technical sections and fought Jaime Busto to the wire, eventually locking down the final podium spot by a single point. The result keeps him second overall in the standings and firmly in the title fight.
With seven rounds completed, the championship now heads to Chalon-sur-Saône, where Bou could mathematically seal yet another world title. If he finishes ahead of Marcelli, the crown is his: adding yet another chapter to one of the most dominant careers the sport has ever seen.
Barcelona has always been Bou territory. And on this night, the Palau Sant Jordi once again felt like his personal playground.
