BateriHub has crossed a major milestone in Malaysia’s automotive aftermarket sector, surpassing 200 branches nationwide and establishing itself as the country’s largest direct-owned car battery retail network.

The expansion was accompanied by official recognition from ASEAN Records, which acknowledged the company under the title First and Largest Direct-Owned Car Battery Retailer by Branch Count and Floor Area, covering 200 outlets with a combined floor space of 340,875.68 sq ft. The recognition highlights BateriHub’s operating scale and infrastructure footprint as it continues expanding its national service network.

Speaking on the milestone, Kok Wai Kit, Co-Founder and Managing Director of BateriHub, said the focus at this stage is maintaining service standards as the network grows.

“At this scale, growth is no longer about opening stores quickly, but ensuring service quality holds when demand spikes or when customers are stranded outside major cities,” he said, noting that a direct-owned structure enables standardised training, faster technician deployment and closer operational control.

As of January 2026, BateriHub’s network covers more than 500 service areas across 11 states, including the Klang Valley as well as secondary regions such as Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan. The wider footprint allows the company to support motorists in areas where access to timely roadside battery replacement services was previously limited.

The company currently operates 200 branches, employs over 460 staff and has served more than one million customers. It has also recorded over 70,000 positive customer reviews across online platforms.

Co-Founder and Managing Director Wong Wai Loong attributed the milestone to coordinated efforts across the organisation. He said the next phase will prioritise quality, sustainability and people development alongside expansion.

BateriHub’s growth strategy centres on its 100% direct-owned operating model, allowing consistent service quality, pricing and brand standards nationwide. The company also emphasises investment in training, systems and data-driven site planning to support sustainable scaling.

Customers are served through multiple channels, including walk-in battery replacement, roadside assistance, battery delivery and jumpstart services, all coordinated through a central dispatch and customer service system.

Looking ahead, BateriHub plans to enter East Malaysia by the third quarter of 2026, while regional expansion is also under study as part of a broader ASEAN growth roadmap. The ASEAN Records recognition was presented during BateriHub’s annual dinner on 29 January 2026 in Petaling Jaya.
