Yamaha Motor Europe has officially extended its partnership with VHR. It confirms that the team will continue to operate the Yamaha Official EMX250 outfit through the 2026 season. The renewal follows a standout first year, where the collaboration delivered immediate success.
The Yamaha–VHR programme made a strong impact in its debut season in 2025. It was highlighted by Janis Reisulis’ commanding run to the EMX250 title aboard the VHR-backed, GYTR-kitted YZ250F. The achievement cemented the partnership as a leading force in the highly competitive EMX250 category.
Building on this momentum, Yamaha and VHR will field an exciting new rider pairing for 2026. Rising Yamaha talents Mano Faure and Jarne Bervoets will step up to the EMX250 class. Both riders bring an impressive résumé from their junior careers.
Faure joins the team as the reigning Junior Motocross 125cc World Champion and EMX125 championship runner-up. On the other hand, Bervoets brings strong credentials as a double EMX125 round winner and former Junior Motocross 85cc World Championship runner-up. Both riders have demonstrated exceptional pace and consistency in their respective categories. Thus, marking them as two of the most promising prospects in Yamaha’s development pipeline.
Racing the proven, championship-winning GYTR-kitted YZ250F, Faure and Bervoets drive Yamaha’s continued push for EMX250 honours. The extended partnership with VHR strengthens Yamaha’s long-term strategy to develop young riders in a stable, competitive environment and support their progression toward higher levels of international motocross.
Yamaha Motor Europe noted that the renewed agreement reflects confidence in VHR’s structure, technical capability and commitment to rider development. With a strong platform in place and two standout young riders joining the programme, the Yamaha Official EMX250 team enters the 2026 season with clear ambition and the momentum needed to fight for more titles.
