With only weeks remaining before the start of the 2026 World Rally‑Raid Championship, Monster Energy Honda HRC has officially launched its new Rally2 race programme, further expanding its global rally-raid structure. The new team will compete under the same identity and competitive philosophy as the RallyGP squad. It reinforces Honda’s long-term strategy of nurturing young talent and strengthening its pipeline for future factory stars.
Long-time partner Monster Energy will continue its backing of the Honda HRC programme by supporting the new Rally2 project. This underlines the strength of a partnership that has delivered major success since 2017.
A Strong Rally2 Line-Up for 2026
The Monster Energy Honda HRC Rally2 team will campaign two rising stars of rally-raid racing in 2026:
Preston Campbell (USA)
Already a proven winner at major off-road events, including the Mint 400 and Sonora Rally, Campbell is building a reputation for speed, adaptability, and professionalism. He enters 2026 as one of the most exciting prospects in the Rally2 category.
Martim Ventura (Portugal)
A standout performer across Portugal and Spain, Ventura brings strong technical skill and racecraft into the new season. Victories at events such as the Baja Portalegre have placed him among the most promising young rally-raid riders in Europe.
A Project Built for Long-Term Growth
For 2026, the Rally2 squad will contest a demanding international calendar featuring some of the world’s most iconic rally-raid events. The key goals are clear. It is to fight at the front of the Rally2 category, continue the development of the Honda CRF450RX Rally, and strengthen Honda HRC’s long-term competitive structure.
Year after year, the CRF450RX Rally continues to evolve as a platform for innovation, durability, and performance across the toughest off-road conditions on the planet.
Leadership Confident Ahead of Dakar Debut
Team General Manager Ruben Faria expressed confidence in the young pairing as they prepare for their first Dakar Rally appearance.
He highlighted that both riders have shown rapid progress and that the primary goal for their Dakar debut is to target top-five finishes in Rally2 and top-15 overall.
Ventura described the opportunity to contest his first Dakar on a Honda as a lifelong dream. Campbell echoed the excitement. He points to months of preparation, testing, and technical development as the team builds toward the challenge of the 2026 Dakar in Saudi Arabia.
A New Chapter for Honda’s Rally-Raid Future
The Monster Energy Honda HRC Rally2 team steps into 2026 with clear ambition. The project represents a new chapter in Honda’s rally-raid evolution. It focuses on development, performance, and building the future of its global competition programme.
