Honda HRC Progressive heads into the 2026 AMA season brimming with confidence after a highly successful 2025 campaign that delivered three professional AMA championships. With 16 professional titles secured over the past seven years, the factory Honda squad remains one of the dominant forces in American motocross and supercross.
A Proven Platform for 2026
The 2026 season begins with the 17-round AMA Supercross Championship on January 10 in Anaheim, California, before continuing into the AMA Pro Motocross series and the SuperMotocross Playoffs. Honda HRC Progressive enters the new year with an unchanged rider lineup, a rarity in modern racing and a major strength for the team.

Jett Lawrence Leads the Charge
At the forefront is Jett Lawrence, who continues to set the benchmark in the premier class. The 22-year-old Australian already boasts 10 professional AMA titles, including the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross and SuperMotocross crowns. After missing the chance to defend his 2024 Supercross title due to injury, Lawrence is determined to reclaim the sport’s most coveted indoor championship aboard the factory CRF450RWE.
Lawrence Brothers a Dual Threat
Hunter Lawrence returns alongside his younger brother on another factory CRF450RWE. Since moving to the 450 class in 2024, Hunter has consistently finished runner-up in championship standings and remains a serious title contender. Together, the Lawrence brothers have also guided Team Australia to back-to-back Motocross of Nations victories.

Strong 250 Programme
Honda’s 250 effort once again features Chance Hymas and Jo Shimoda. Fully recovered from ACL surgery, Hymas will contest the AMA Supercross 250 West Region, while Shimoda comes off the best season of his career, highlighted by the SuperMotocross 250 title. Shimoda is currently sidelined with a back injury, with his return date still to be confirmed.
Hungry Despite Success
Despite last season’s silverware, the motivation within the team remains high. American Honda Racing Manager Brandon Wilson summed it up best, noting that the team is “out for redemption” after missing out on the premier-class Supercross title in 2025.
With a stable lineup, proven machinery, and championship-winning experience throughout the garage, Honda HRC Progressive enters 2026 fully focused on adding even more titles to its already impressive legacy.
