The Ducati-independent outfit, MGM Performance, has officially confirmed its continuation in the 2026 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, keeping Scottish rider Tarran Mackenzie onboard for a full-season assault. The German squad made the switch to the Ducati Panigale V4 R this year after four seasons campaigning the BMW M1000 RR, and the renewed partnership signals a stable and promising future for both team and rider.

Mackenzie joined MGM midway through the 2025 season, stepping in from the Hungarian Round after Scott Redding’s departure to PBM Ducati in British Superbikes. Before that, the Brit started the year with the Petronas MIE Honda squad, though the partnership dissolved after Misano.

Once on the Ducati V4 R, Mackenzie quickly showed flashes of competitiveness and adaptability, steadily climbing the ranks as he settled into the new environment. His strongest performance came at the season finale in Jerez, where he delivered three top-10 finishes, including a standout seventh place, his best result to date in WorldSBK.

Reflecting on the renewal, Mackenzie shared his excitement for the year ahead: “I’m so happy to be continuing with MGM Racing for 2026! Joining Michael and his team in Hungary was a real pleasure and brought that enjoyment back into my racing that I had lost, as well as confidence. By the end of the season, I really started to feel like my old self again.”

“From having no ride to then achieving my best results in WSBK was something I couldn’t have imagined, and to end the year like we did in Jerez was the perfect way to go into the off-season. My journey in WSBK so far hasn’t been an easy one, but I really feel like I’ve found my home with this team, and I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings,” he said in a statement.

With the confirmation of their spot on the 2026 grid, MGM Performance is set to strengthen its presence in the championship, while Mackenzie aims to build on his momentum and continue his upward trajectory aboard the Ducati V4 R.
