Manuel Lettenbichler wrapped up his latest title-winning campaign with a determined ride to second overall at the legendary Roof of Africa, the final stop of the 2025 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship. Already crowned champion one round early, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider arrived in Lesotho with the pressure off but still delivered the consistency and grit that defined his season.

The event opened with Thursday’s Time Trial, where Lettenbichler immediately set the tone by posting the second-fastest time over the two-lap sprint. That performance secured him a strong starting slot for Friday, but day two brought the kind of punishing terrain that has made the Roof of Africa an enduro classic. The German fought through the rocky, high-altitude course to end the day 10th, leaving him with time to recover in Saturday’s final showdown.

Saturday’s route played more to his strengths. Over five hours of climbs, riverbeds, and technical mountain passes, Lettenbichler found his rhythm again. He pushed hard from the start, clawed back significant time, and eventually crossed the final checkpoint second on the day, less than a minute behind the fastest rider after a tight, all-day battle.

When the accumulated times across all three days were tallied, Lettenbichler sealed second overall, ending his season on a strong and composed note. The result also marks the conclusion of another standout year, as he successfully defended his FIM Hard Enduro crown to become a five-time world champion.

Speaking after the race, Lettenbichler reflected on the challenge and the season as a whole: “The first two days were up and down, so I knew Saturday had to count. The terrain early this morning suited me well, and I managed to pull some time back. After the first service check it got really technical and tiring, but riding the last section with the group was good fun. Finishing the season at a race like this, with the title already secured, feels pretty cool.”

With the outdoor season wrapped up, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing now shifts its attention indoors as the team prepares for the opening round of the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in Gliwice, Poland, on December 13.
