It was a weekend to remember for Azroy Hakeem Anuar of Honda Racing Malaysia, who stormed to a double victory in Round 4 of the 2025 AEON Credit MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, clinching the MSBK1000 A Overall Championship title in emphatic style.

The race began with Muhd Helmi Azman (Honda Racing Malaysia) grabbing the early lead, followed closely by Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin (Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia) and Azroy in third. The opening laps saw intense position changes, with Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah clocking the fastest lap of 2’06.943s while charging up the order. Meanwhile, Adam Norrodin of AMI Suzuki Motorsport was forced to retire due to technical issues.

By Lap 6, Hafizh continued his charge with another fastest lap of 2’06.106s, closing in on the leaders. The following lap, Helmi reclaimed the lead from Kasma, but Azroy made a decisive move at Turn 13, slipping past Kasma and soon overtaking Helmi to take control of the race. From there, Azroy maintained his pace and composure, crossing the line first in 21’14.808s, just ahead of Helmi (21’15.163s) and Kasma (21’17.747s).

With this victory, Azroy sealed the 2025 MSBK1000 A Championship with 179 points, ahead of Kasma (162 points) and Helmi (92 points).

“Alhamdulillah, it has been a great season overall,” said Azroy. “There were a few setbacks due to technical issues, but I’ve been consistent and always at the front. I knew everyone would push hard today, so with three laps to go, I told myself to attack. Thank you to my team for their hard work and to everyone who supported me, this is also great preparation heading into the ARRC.”
