Japanese rider Ryo Mizuno will support Hafizh Syahrin and the JDT Racing Team in the Asia Superbike 1000 class as the championship heads to Sepang this weekend.

The JDT Racing Team has officially announced the inclusion of Japanese rider Ryo Mizuno as a wildcard entry for the upcoming fifth round of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), which will take place at Sepang International Circuit from October 10 to 12.
In an official statement, the team expressed excitement over Mizuno’s arrival, highlighting the added strength and experience he brings to the Asia Superbike 1000 (ASB1000) category.
“JDT Racing Team is pleased to announce Japanese rider Ryo Mizuno as a wildcard entry for the next round of the Asia Road Racing Championship. The team is looking forward to welcoming Ryo to the family and is confident that his experience will add further strength and competitiveness to the grid,” the team stated.

Mizuno’s participation is expected to provide a significant boost to Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah, who currently leads JDT Racing Team’s charge in the ASB1000 class. Both riders share a strong working history, they previously raced together for Ducati Team Kagayama in the 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship, including the 45th Annual Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race in Japan.
With Mizuno’s technical insight and experience from top-tier endurance racing, JDT Racing Team is optimistic that his presence will help Hafizh regain his momentum and potentially reclaim the ASB1000 championship lead.
