Honda Unveils First Electric Naked Motorcycle “WN7” in Europe

Honda Unveils First Electric Naked Motorcycle “WN7” in Europe

The Honda WN7 marks a new era as the brand accelerates its global electric motorcycle strategy.

Honda WN7

Honda has officially launched its first electric motorcycle for the European market, the Honda WN7, a naked EV designed for the Fun segment.

The debut of the WN7 reflects Honda’s long-term vision of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 across all products and corporate activities, with a specific target of making all motorcycles carbon-neutral by the 2040s.

Positioned as the production version of the EV Fun Concept first showcased at EICMA 2024 in Milan, the WN7 blends futuristic electric technology with Honda’s 75 years of motorcycle engineering heritage.

Honda WN7

The model name carries symbolic meaning:

  • “W” stands for the development concept “Be the Wind”,
  • “N” for Naked,
  • and “7” represents its output class.

Honda says the WN7 not only offers a quiet, smooth ride unlike traditional ICE (internal combustion engine) motorcycles, but also delivers performance comparable to mid-to-large displacement bikes — rivalling 600cc petrol models in power output and 1000cc machines in torque.

Honda WN7 Highlights

  • Range: Over 130 km (83 miles) per charge
  • Battery: Fixed lithium-ion battery
  • Charging: CCS2 rapid charging (20%–80% in 30 minutes) and home charging (full charge under 3 hours)
  • Design: Slim, futuristic styling unique to EVs
  • Tech: 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity

With the WN7, Honda is accelerating its global electrification roadmap and expanding its lineup to cater to diverse riders, from urban commuters to performance enthusiasts.

The launch signals the beginning of a new chapter for Honda motorcycles, where thrill and sustainability ride side by side.
