The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team is back in action this weekend as the FIM Superbike World Championship resumes at Magny-Cours, France, for the ninth round of the season. With just four rounds remaining, both Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter are targeting strong results to cap off a promising year.
Building on Momentum
Gardner and Aegerter have enjoyed a consistent first half of the season, regularly scoring points and showing flashes of front-running pace. The team now looks to convert that progress into stronger finishes as the championship enters its decisive phase.
Gardner Targets a Strong Comeback
After being sidelined by a multi-rider incident in Balaton’s Race 1, Remy Gardner has recovered and is eager to return to form on his Yamaha R1. Magny-Cours has previously shown glimpses of promise for the team, and Gardner is determined to turn that potential into results.
Aegerter Focused on Front-Runners
Teammate Dominique Aegerter enters the French round highly motivated after the summer break. The Swiss rider has been training hard and remains focused on fighting for top positions across the remaining rounds.
WorldWCR Joins the Action
Adding to the weekend’s excitement, the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team returns with Sara Sánchez and Natalia Rivera. The two will be competing in Round 5 of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship. The Magny-Cours event is historic, marking the circuit’s debut on the WorldWCR calendar.
Weekend Schedule
- Saturday: WorldSBK Race 1 – 14:00 local time
- Sunday: Superpole Race – 11:00 | Race 2 – 15:30
