Norton reveals a sharp new sub-500cc model under TVS’s RM1.2 billion revival plan, hinting at a bold return to the retro roadster scene.

The iconic British motorcycle brand Norton has offered a first glimpse into its future, teasing an all-new motorcycle on social media accompanied by a single, powerful word: “Resurgence.”
While the image reveals little beyond a sharply styled tail light, it signals the beginning of a bold new chapter. The teaser is believed to preview a sub-500cc retro roadster, a segment where rivals like Royal Enfield currently dominate.
A New Beginning Under TVS
Since its acquisition by India’s TVS Motor Company, Norton has undergone a major transformation. With over £200 million (approximately RM1.2 billion) invested in revitalising the brand, TVS has committed to launching six new Norton models over the next three years, each one engineered and built under its watchful eye.
This teased bike marks the first of that lineup. Based on the design cues, it appears to be either a neo-retro roadster or lightweight sportbike, suggesting that Norton is not just aiming to echo its heritage but also adapt to modern tastes.
What to Expect
While specifications remain under wraps, early indicators suggest:
- Sub-500cc twin-cylinder engine
- Likely tuned for urban usability and weekend thrills
- Premium styling with possible performance leanings
- Expected global debut at EICMA 2025, the industry’s biggest motorcycle showcase
This entry-level offering could serve as a strategic move to broaden Norton’s appeal, particularly in emerging markets and among younger riders looking for accessible performance with a historic badge.
