YADEA, a global leader in electric two-wheelers, has officially launched the YADEA GT20 in Malaysia, a sleek, urban-focused electric scooter designed for modern city living. Offered in three bold colour options, Metal Grey, Dark/Orange, and Green/Gold, the GT20 is priced from RM4,998 (excluding insurance and road tax), the GT20 is now available at authorized Mforce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd. dealerships nationwide.

At the heart of the YADEA GT20 is a 2,000W hub motor with a peak power output of 3,200W, delivering up to 160Nm of torque, enough to confidently tackle city slopes with gradients up to 15 degrees. It is equipped with a 72V38Ah graphene battery, which offers an estimated riding range of up to 105km on a single charge.

Recharging takes approximately 6 to 8 hours using the included 72V6A charger. The battery supports up to 500 charging cycles and features a regenerative energy system to recover power during braking or downhill riding.

The GT20 rides on MT2.15-12 aluminium alloy wheels paired with 90/80-12 tyres and comes with front and rear disc brakes enhanced by CBS (Combi Brake System) for added stability, especially during emergency braking. Lighting is powered by high-brightness LEDs, producing 4,000CD on low beam and up to 22,000CD on high beam.

Seat height is a manageable 768mm, with ground clearance ranging from 140mm to 150mm, while the 350mm footboard ensures a relaxed riding posture. A generous 28-litre under-seat storage compartment.

The digital tub-style instrument display presents a clean interface, offering two riding modes and a smart fault monitoring system that keeps riders informed of energy usage and system alerts. For added safety, a side stand cut-off switch automatically disables the motor when the side stand is engaged.

Rider comfort is elevated with the ‘Secure Ride’ package, which includes an ergonomic seat, a pillion backrest, and grab bars. Meanwhile, the ‘Seamless Utility’ suite adds practical features like front storage, a USB Type-A charging port, and a hidden hook for hanging bags or small items while on the move.

With each YADEA GT20 purchase, buyers receive a two-year manufacturer warranty or 20,000km coverage (whichever comes first), subject to terms and conditions. Genuine spare parts are also available online via Mforce Bike Holdings.

This launch marks another step forward in YADEA Malaysia’s commitment to growing the local EV industry, supporting sustainable mobility, and offering innovative, rider-friendly electric models for everyday Malaysians.
