For the first time ever, Royal Enfield’s “Custom World” made its presence felt at the legendary Wheels & Waves festival – and it didn’t just show up. It dominated. With seven hand-picked, wildly imaginative builds from some of the world’s most inventive custom garages, this was not just a showcase; it was a statement. Royal Enfield isn’t just making bikes. It’s making canvases for the world’s best motorcycle artists.

Here’s a closer look at the wildest machines to hit the Atlantic surf town this year.

GRR – A Madrid-Born Supermono Weapon

Builder: XTR Pepo | Base: Guerrilla 450

Built by Pepo Rosell, a veteran of endurance racing and pure motorcycle madness, GRR is lightweight, aggressive, and made for the road and track alike. A heavily modified frame, Showa forks, NITRON shock, racing-spec brakes, and a minimalist glass-fibre body make this build scream performance. It’s equal parts race bike and art sculpture.

Highlight: Transparent fuel tank stripe. Because function should look good too.

From precision-crafted racers to outrageous lowriders and desert monsters, Royal Enfield’s “Custom World” stunned the crowds at Wheels & Waves 2025.

Phoenix – The Balinese Lowrider Reborn

Builder: Putu Ajus, AMS Garage | Base: Super Meteor 650

If the Super Meteor ever decided to party in LA, this would be its final form. Phoenix channels Bagger vibes through tribal aluminium bodywork, girder forks, and air suspension – a true cultural crossover of Balinese craftsmanship and American lowrider spirit. A showstopper in both detail and philosophy.

Highlight: A hand-brushed, polished raw finish that reflects every curve and cut like a living flame.

Samurai – The Compact Chopper With a Punch

Builder: Takuya Aikawa, SURESHOT | Base: Shotgun 650 (865cc Big Bore)

What happens when a Japanese craftsman obsessed with drag racing and performance builds a chopper? Samurai is born. Featuring an 865cc S&S big bore upgrade, mono-shock rear suspension, and hand-machined wheels, this build raced before it was shown – and clocked a 12.8s quarter mile. Aikawa doesn’t just make customs, he makes them fast.

Highlight: A drag slick rear tyre on a chopper. Enough said.

From precision-crafted racers to outrageous lowriders and desert monsters, Royal Enfield’s “Custom World” stunned the crowds at Wheels & Waves 2025.

Fury 650 – The Baja-Inspired Desert Beast

Builder: Fuel Motorcycles | Base: Bear 650

Fuel Motorcycles of Barcelona fused nostalgia and utility to create Fury 650, a tribute to the legendary Big Bear Run and the Baja 1000. Purpose-built for adventure, it boasts a 21” front wheel, navigation system, dual headlights, and desert-ready suspension. This one’s made for sand, grit, and grit.

Highlight: Roadbook navigation and hand-sculpted rear fender—race-ready with vintage soul.

The Kingsman – Elegance on Two Wheels

Builder: Dirk Oehlerking, Kingston Custom | Base: Shotgun 650

Elegant. Regal. Bespoke. The Kingsman is a gentleman’s bike, down to its suede seat, integrated mirror, bottle of gin, and even an umbrella. Designed by Kingston Custom in Germany’s industrial heartland, this 4-meter-long machine is pure aluminium craftsmanship wrapped in British charm.

Highlight: A taillight from a ‘58 Cadillac embedded into an entirely handmade body.

Modern Primitive – A Flat Track Tribute

Builder: Sideburn Magazine | Base: Guerrilla 450

A love letter to flat track culture, Modern Primitive fuses minimalism with motorsport DNA. Custom wheels, tracker bars, and graphics inspired by tattoo art give it an edge rooted in history. It’s raw, nimble, and purposeful—an homage to the primal thrill of two wheels sliding sideways.

Highlight: One-off alloy swingarm inspired by Royal Enfield’s FT450.

SM450 Urban Guerilla – BMX Meets Brat Tracker

Builder: Sticky x Roadkill | Base: Guerrilla 450

Flashy, irreverent, and nostalgic, SM450 feels like a Krusty Demons VHS tape on two wheels. With WP forks, custom aluminium bodywork, and graffiti-style graphics by illustrator Ryan Roadkill, this build is 1997 energy, revived for today’s urban jungle.

Highlight: Race-style can, twisted subframe geometry, and hand-drawn livery straight out of a skate video.

The Verdict

Royal Enfield’s Custom World at Wheels & Waves 2025 wasn’t just a display—it was a flex. Each build proves that Royal Enfield’s platforms aren’t just accessible, they’re inspirational. Whether it’s performance, heritage, or pure art, these bikes tell stories that go way beyond the road.

If this is the future of custom motorcycling, consider us ready to ride.
