Royal Enfield’s long-anticipated leap into electric mobility is finally taking shape. The company has confirmed that its first electric motorcycles—launched under the revived Flying Flea brand—will make their market debut in Q4 of fiscal year 2026, translating to a January–March 2026 launch window.
Eicher Motors Managing Director B. Govindarajan offered the update, confirming that two models—the FF-C6 and S6—are currently in testing. These bikes mark Royal Enfield’s official entry into the electric segment and reflect a careful yet confident step toward sustainable mobility.
The Flying Flea moniker isn’t new; it traces its roots to Royal Enfield’s World War II-era lightweight motorcycle used in military airborne operations. The name now returns to serve a new purpose: to carry Royal Enfield into an electrified future, all while preserving its vintage-inspired identity.
Urban Focus, Heritage Design
The FF-C6 and S6 will cater to urban commuters and younger riders, combining classic Royal Enfield styling with electric functionality. While exact specs remain under wraps, insiders suggest these models will offer affordable pricing, everyday usability, and moderate performance, eschewing high-speed thrills for reliability and practicality.
Royal Enfield’s measured rollout strategy signals a commitment to building a solid foundation for its electric line. The models will likely debut in India before entering global markets, capitalising on the brand’s massive domestic following and growing international appeal.

Stark Future Synergy
This electric evolution follows Eicher Motors’ €50 million investment in Stark Future, a Spanish electric motorcycle startup. This collaboration is already bearing fruit: prototypes shown at last year’s Milan Motorcycle Show featured components from Stark’s VARG powertrain, indicating a shared technological DNA that could enhance Royal Enfield’s electric development.
A Timely Move for Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield’s timing couldn’t be better. As electric two-wheelers gain momentum globally, especially in the urban mobility segment, brands that can blend efficiency with emotional appeal are primed for success. The Flying Flea’s retro-modern aesthetic may strike just the right chord in this emerging space.
Although Royal Enfield has yet to reveal full details on the FF-C6 and S6’s power, range, and pricing, the company clearly takes its electric future seriously. With a legacy of building accessible, character-rich motorcycles, Royal Enfield now positions its electric debut to make waves, not necessarily through groundbreaking specs, but through the strength of its brand and the clarity of its vision.
The countdown begins.
