Swedish electric motorcycle pioneer RGNT Motorcycles has made history by becoming the first to compete with an electric bike in the Swedish Championship, ushering in a bold new chapter for motorsport in the region. The landmark event was held at the iconic Anderstorp Raceway. It was more than just a race—it was a statement of intent.

Sleek, near-silent, and undeniably fast, RGNT’s entry marks Sweden’s official step into electric racing. With a vision deeply rooted in innovation and environmental consciousness, RGNT is spearheading a movement to redefine what motorcycle competition can look—and sound—like.

Racing Toward the Future

“This weekend is just the beginning,” said Jonathan Åström, CEO of RGNT Motorcycles. “You don’t build the future of motorcycling behind a desk—you build it on the track. We’re here to inspire riders, fans, and engineers to believe in the power and potential of electric motorsport.”

RGNT’s foray into competitive racing is not merely symbolic. The company has invested heavily in on-track development. It uses racing conditions to improve core features such as fast-charging technology, battery endurance, and mechanical reliability. All of which are essential for real-world performance.

A Vision for 2026 and Beyond

Looking ahead, RGNT aims to expand its influence across the Swedish racing scene by growing the electric racing category. Plans are already in motion to establish a 12-team electric motorcycle grid by the 2026 season. Thus, creating a dedicated platform for high-performance electric competition.

This effort positions Sweden as a potential global hub for electric motorcycle racing, blending cutting-edge technology with the country’s longstanding love for motorsport.

As the buzz from Anderstorp settles, one thing is clear: RGNT Motorcycles hasn’t just entered a race. They’ve started a revolution.
