The ITALJET Gresini Moto2 team heads to Silverstone this weekend for Round 7 of the MotoGP World Championship with a reduced lineup, as Darryn Binder continues his recovery from a recent arm surgery. That leaves Spaniard Albert Arenas as the team’s sole representative at the iconic British circuit—a demanding track where weather and rhythm often make or break a weekend.

Darryn Binder, who fractured his left ulna and underwent surgery last week, will sit out the British Grand Prix and set his sights on a full return at Aragon. In the meantime, he’s already undergoing physiotherapy and remains upbeat despite the setback.

With Darryn Binder sidelined due to injury, Albert Arenas leads a solo charge for ITALJET Gresini Moto2 at Silverstone, aiming to convert consistency into a long-awaited podium finish.

“I’m really disappointed to be missing Silverstone… but the focus now is to heal up as quick and as best as possible,” Binder said, extending his support to the team and teammate.

With Binder sidelined, Arenas will shoulder full responsibility for flying the red and blue colours of the ITALJET Gresini outfit. And momentum is on his side: the Spaniard has shown impressive consistency in recent rounds and now seeks to translate that pace into a podium finish.

“Silverstone: always a great race, I really like this circuit… Our goal will be to continue to be consistent in the race and have an even more competitive set-up to fight for the podium until the end,” said Arenas, who’s clearly energized and focused heading into the weekend.

Silverstone, with its long straights and fast-flowing corners, will provide a stern test. Add the notorious unpredictability of British weather, and this round is going to challenge every rider’s adaptability and resolve. But Arenas, already on an upward trend, is determined to capitalise on this solo mission to gain ground in the championship standings.

Whether it’s clear skies or a downpour, expect #75 to push hard in pursuit of that elusive top-three finish—and to keep the ITALJET Gresini banner flying high in Binder’s absence.
