Local rising star Qabil Irfan, who was recently crowned ‘Young Rider of the Year’ for 2024 by the Malaysian Motor Sports Association at the MAM Award Night, has secured a prestigious sponsorship deal with Alpinestars for the 2025 season. The announcement marks a significant milestone in the young rider’s burgeoning career.

During the MotoGP Winter Test at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit last month, SIC Racing Team Manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Qabil Irfan met with William Mitham, Athlete Relations Manager of Alpinestars Italy, to discuss future plans and development programs for the Malaysian talent. The meeting culminated in Alpinestars agreeing to sponsor Qabil, not only providing him with top-tier racing equipment but also supporting him as an official athlete.

Qabil’s impressive track record speaks for itself. The young rider clinched the 2023 MiniGP World Championship title, secured multiple podiums and victories in the ESBK Moto4 category, and maintained the Overall Champion title for five consecutive years at the national level through FIM MiniGP Malaysia. These achievements have made him one of the most promising talents in the motorsport world, earning the attention and support of a global brand like Alpinestars.

For the 2025 season, Qabil will compete in the newly introduced ESBK Talent Cup category of the Espana Superbike Championship (ESBK), riding the NSF250 machine. This move represents a significant step forward in his career as he continues to showcase his talent on the international stage.

As Qabil Irfan prepares for the 2025 season, fans and supporters eagerly anticipate his performance in the ESBK Talent Cup. With the backing of Alpinestars and the guidance of SIC Racing, the young rider is poised to make waves and continue his ascent in the world of motorcycle racing.

This sponsorship deal is a proud moment for Malaysian motorsport, highlighting the potential of local talent to compete and excel on the global stage. Qabil Irfan’s journey is one to watch as he takes on new challenges and strives for greatness in the 2025 season.
