The Malaysia Automotive, Robotics, and IoT Institute (MARii) has reopened applications for the MARiiCas program, offering Malaysians a rebate of RM2,400 on electric motorcycles. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old and earn less than RM120,000 annually. The program, which was temporarily closed at the end of 2024, resumed last month with a significant change for 2025: only Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) models assembled locally are eligible.

Eligible Electric Motorcycles for MARiiCas 2025

Not all electric motorcycles qualify for the rebate. As of 26 February 2025, the following models are eligible:

  • Superlux eB1: RM4,888 → RM2,488
  • Yadea E8S Pro: RM5,999 → RM3,599
  • Zeeho AE4: RM6,999 → RM4,599
  • Ebixon Bold: RM9,000 → RM6,600
  • EBixon Kruz: RM9,900 → RM7,500
  • Eclimo ES11: RM13,600 → RM11,200
  • EBixon Torq: RM14,888 → RM12,488
  • VMoto TC Max: RM19,900 → RM17,500
  • VMoto CPX Pro: RM25,900 → RM23,500

Two additional models, the Treeletrik T-90 and T-70, were listed, but concerns about the company’s operational status cast doubt on their availability.

What’s Different in 2025?

One of the major exclusions from this year’s rebate list is the Blueshark R1, a popular model from last year, which is now ineligible due to being a Completely Built-Up (CBU) import. Other brands such as Ryder and Hyper from Yinson GreenTech’s RydeEV division are also absent from the list.

Limited Rebates for 2025

The budget for MARiiCas 2025 is RM10 million, significantly lower than last year’s RM16.6 million, which supported 6,916 applications. Based on the RM2,400 rebate per unit, this year’s funding can only cover approximately 4,166 motorcycles—several thousand fewer than last year.

With limited slots available, interested applicants should act quickly to take advantage of the rebate before funds run out. For more details and to apply, visit the official MARiiCas website.
