Indian Motorcycle has expanded its lineup for 2025 by introducing the Sport Chief RT, a fresh addition to its Chief family. This new model builds upon the Sport Chief’s aggressive performance cruiser ethos while incorporating additional touring-friendly elements. To mark the occasion, Indian commissioned six custom builds, dubbed the “First 6” collection, crafted by select European dealerships. These unique designs were showcased at the Moto Bike Expo in Verona, Italy, demonstrating the versatility and customizability of the Sport Chief RT.

A Cruiser Built for Performance and Customization

The 2025 Indian Sport Chief RT retains the power and performance of its predecessor. The bike now incorporate features that enhance comfort and long-haul capabilities. It comes equipped with:

  • Thunderstroke 116 Engine (1,890cc) – Delivering immense torque and a signature V-twin roar.
  • 4-Inch TFT Display with Ride Command – Enhancing rider convenience and connectivity.
  • Saddlebags and a 2-Up High Bolster Seat – Making it more practical for extended rides.
  • PowerBand Audio Bluetooth System – Ensuring an immersive audio experience on the road.
  • Moto-Style Handlebars on 6-Inch Risers – Offering a more aggressive riding stance.
  • Inverted Front Fork & Twin Outboard Shocks – Providing better handling and stability.
  • Dual Exhaust System – Amplifying the bike’s muscular presence.

Indian Motorcycle’s Director of Design, Ola Stenegärd, emphasized the brand’s commitment to customization. The “First 6” builds exemplify the company’s focus on creating motorcycles that are easy to personalize.

The “First 6” Custom Sport Chief RT Builds

Each of the six custom motorcycles showcases a unique interpretation of the Sport Chief RT, reflecting various design inspirations and cultural influences:

1. “American Graffiti” – Indian Motorcycle Praha, Czech Republic

Inspired by the American racing scene, this build boasts an eye-catching paint scheme and a chin scoop, evoking the spirit of speed and performance.

2. “Bastard” – MotoStrada, Portugal

Drawing influence from Indian’s Superhooligan racebikes, this build embraces a street racer aesthetic, blending aggression with a stripped-down, competition-ready look.

3. “Hoka Key” – Styrian Motorcycle, Austria

A minimalist take on the Sport Chief RT, the “Hoka Key” design emphasizes clean lines and raw mechanics, paying tribute to the essence of a pure performance cruiser.

4. “No Comply Society” – Krazy Horse, UK

Influenced by both custom motorcycle and car culture, this UK-based build features a gritty, rebellious aesthetic that aligns with the independent spirit of riders who push boundaries.

5. “The Qwetcher” – Biker Syndicate, Switzerland

Named after a Swiss dialect word for “to mumble”, this build reflects a deep appreciation for the subtle mechanical sounds that motorcycles produce, paying homage to the roots of the Biker Syndicate brand.

6. “Top Fuel” – Indian Metz, France

Taking inspiration from NHRA, NASCAR, and King of the Baggers, this build is a high-performance tribute to the world of competitive racing, emphasizing speed and bold styling.

A Testament to Indian Motorcycle’s Custom Spirit

The Sport Chief RT and “First 6” builds reaffirm Indian Motorcycle’s dedication to performance and customization. With its powerful engine and rider-focused design, the 2025 Sport Chief RT is built for those who crave speed and individuality, making a strong impact in the cruiser segment.
