Motosikal & Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) has officially introduced the locally assembled (CKD) version of the 2025 Kawasaki Z650RS to the Malaysian market. The launch took place alongside the opening of the new Kawasaki 4S showroom in Puncak Alam, Selangor, marking another milestone for the brand in the country.

First unveiled in 2022, the Z650RS draws inspiration from its larger sibling, the Kawasaki Z900RS, combining retro styling with modern performance. The motorcycle is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine, featuring liquid cooling, DOHC, and an eight-valve configuration, delivering 67 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm.

The Z650RS is equipped with a six-speed gearbox, an assist and slipper clutch, and a chain final drive. It rides on 17-inch cast alloy multi-spoke wheels, fitted with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres.

Braking is handled by twin 300 mm front discs with two-piston callipers and a single 220 mm rear disc with a one-piston calliper, both supported by ABS. Additionally, the bike features Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) with three modes and an economical riding indicator, enhancing both safety and efficiency.

Suspension duties are managed by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Weighing 187 kg (wet) with a 13-litre fuel tank, the Z650RS offers a comfortable standard seat height of 820 mm.

The middleweight sportbike is available in an Ebony/Wheel Gold colour scheme (black with gold rims) and is priced at RM37,200. This price excludes road tax, insurance, and registration fees. Each Kawasaki motorcycle comes with a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

With its blend of retro aesthetics, modern technology, and accessible pricing, the 2025 Kawasaki Z650RS is set to appeal to enthusiasts seeking a stylish yet performance-oriented motorcycle.

The bike is now available at all Kawasaki All-Star dealer showrooms nationwide.
