The final round of the 2024 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup season is set to take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli this weekend.
The 4.23 km track, with its 10 right corners and 6 left corners, promises an exciting conclusion to the season as the overall championship remains up for grabs.
Malaysian rider Hakim Danish, who made history last week by becoming the first Malaysian to win a race in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, is preparing for his last race of the season.
After securing victory in Race 2 of the 6th round, Danish is hoping to finish the season on a high with another podium finish.
“Hakim Danish is currently 6th overall, and if he can move up to 3rd place, he has a chance to join the Moto3 World Championship next year. However, given the current standings, it will be a challenging task,” said Zulfahmi Khairuddin, Manager of SIC Racing.
“I hope Hakim can deliver a strong performance and achieve podium finishes in both races. After the final round, we will review and decide the best path for him for next year,” Zulfahmi added.
The championship standings are currently led by Álvaro Carpe with 202 points, followed closely by Brian Uriarte and Valentin Perrone, both with 189 points.
With stakes higher than ever and fierce competition ahead, will Hakim secure a podium finish this weekend? Could we see the Negaraku echoing through the air in Italy? Let’s watch and pray together for another historic moment!
