Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) has recently announced the release of a special edition Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR 40th Anniversary (2024), specifically for the Indonesian market.

This limited-edition model, produced in restricted quantities globally, has also arrived in Indonesia with a similarly limited allocation, though KMI has not disclosed the exact number of units available.

The special edition Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR 40th Anniversary (2024) features a distinctive colour scheme and graphic pattern that combines the three iconic colours of Kawasaki Racing: Lime Green, Pearl Crystal White, and Blue.

The bike also boasts a large Kawasaki logo on the fairing, green-coloured rims, an engine guard, and a smoke-coloured visor, along with a ’40th Ninja Anniversary’ logo on the fuel tank. These design elements are inspired by the Kawasaki ZXR750, a racing machine from the 1980s.

In terms of pricing, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR 40th Anniversary (2024) is available at Rp 138,000,000 (approximately RM 38,976) in Jakarta, making it more expensive than the regular version of the ZX-25RR, which is priced at Rp 133,500,000 (approximately RM 37,705).

Mechanically, the special edition model retains the same specifications as the standard Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR (2024) sold in Indonesia, with no additional performance upgrades.

Indonesia has previously seen the release of other Kawasaki 40th Anniversary models, including the Ninja ZX-10R, Ninja ZX-6R, and Ninja ZX-4RR.

In Malaysia, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is marketed under the Modenas badge as the Modenas Ninja ZX-25R, following a strategic collaboration between Kawasaki and Modenas.

The Modenas Ninja ZX-25R SE shares the same specifications as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR (2024), though no 40th Anniversary edition has been introduced in Malaysia as of yet.

However, given the high demand for such special editions, it’s possible that Malaysia could see a similar release, potentially under the Kawasaki badge, if there is enough interest.
