Gresini Racing MotoGP recently confirmed that Alex Marquez will stay with the team for his third and fourth seasons.

Marquez, 28, arrived at Gresini with two MotoGP podiums to his name, achieved during his time with Honda. Since then, the 2014 Moto3 and 2019 Moto2 World Champions have added two more premier-class podiums in Gresini blue.

Additionally, he secured two Tissot Sprint wins last season, taking the top step at both Silverstone and Sepang. Currently ninth in the world championship, his best result this year on a GP23 is a fourth-place finish.

With Marquez’s renewal, Gresini has solidified half of its rider line-up. This follows the announcement that his older brother, Marc Marquez, will join the factory Ducati team in 2025. Alex Marquez will continue to aim for success as the 2024 season progresses and into the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

[Update] 2025 Grid Line-Up

The 2025 MotoGP grid is coming together rapidly. Ducati has confirmed Marc Marquez for its factory squad, with Jorge Martin moving to Aprilia alongside Marco Bezzecchi.

Maverick Vinales will leave Aprilia for Tech3 KTM, where he will team up with Enea Bastianini. KTM has also announced Pedro Acosta’s promotion to its factory team, partnering with Brad Binder.

Double world champion Francesco Bagnaia has signed a new deal with Ducati, and Yamaha has secured Fabio Quartararo for two more seasons.

Honda has Luca Marini and Johann Zarco under contract through the end of 2025, and Joan Mir is expected to remain with HRC beyond this year.
