The Idemitsu Boon Siew Honda (BSH) Racing Team has unveiled their strong rider lineup for the upcoming season of the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). The championship will be kicking off on March 15th, 2024, at Thailand’s Chang International Circuit.

Md Helmi Azman and Azroy Hakeem Anuar, esteemed figures in the SuperSports 600cc race category, will return for another season riding the Honda CBR600RR. Initially emerging from a one-make series, they’ve made a significant mark on both Asian and international circuits.

In the Asia Production 250cc race category, Md Irfan Haykal will team up with Md Syarifuddin Azman, aka “Damok”. While Damok has mainly been a wild-card rider, his appearances have consistently captivated audiences.

Adding to the excitement, Md Zaqhwan Zaidi will make a comeback for another full season in the Asia Superbike 1000cc race category. He will be riding the 2024 Honda CBR1000RRR for Honda Dream Racing with Astemo.

Zaidi, finishing as the runner-up last season, has demonstrated exceptional talent in multiple Asian and international championships. He has cemented his importance as a vital asset for BSH and Honda Asia.

“Through the ARRC, BSH identifies, trains, and develops professional riders, while also utilizing the platform for research and development purposes. The data obtained during the racing series is invaluable in optimizing our performance and enhancing our brand presence,” he explained.

The Idemitsu Boon Siew Honda Racing Team boasts a 12-year history in the ARRC. It has five consecutive SS600 race category wins from 2012 to 2016, showcasing its commitment to motorsports excellence. As they prepare for the 2024 ARRC season, fans can expect exciting performances and fierce competition. With experience, talent, and determination, the team is poised to make a lasting impact on the motorsports scene.
