Yamaha has recently unveiled the updated version of its popular naked bike, the MT-15, in the Thai market, bringing fresh vigour to this sleek two-wheeler. The 2024 Yamaha MT-15 introduces new vibrant paint schemes – Racing Blue, Matt Black, and Metallic Gray. The bike comes with a price tag of THB 1,10,000 (approximately RM 14,650) in the Thai market. This upgraded model is set to turn heads in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Maintaining its signature sleek design, the Yamaha MT-15 features forward-leaning bodywork and striking dual-positioned LED headlights. This exudes an unmistakably aggressive stance. The bike boasts a robust chassis with an aluminium swingarm. It also comes with a distinctive side air intake and a stylish LED tail light at the rear.

Equipped with a fully digital instrument console, the 2024 MT-15 offers smartphone connectivity for calls and message alerts, along with features like traction control. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels fitted with road-biased tyres for optimal performance.

The MT-15 boasts a proven 155-cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine. It is capable of pumping out an impressive maximum power of 19 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 7,500 rpm. This positions the MT-15 as a powerhouse. It stands out as one of the most robust and torque-laden bikes in its segment. Efficiently transferring power to the rear wheel, a six-speed gearbox is equipped with an assist-slipper clutch.

On the suspension front, the Japanese naked bike features inverted forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, ensuring a smooth and responsive ride. Single-disc brakes handle braking duties at both axles, complemented by a dual-channel anti-lock braking system for enhanced safety.

Discover the Yamaha MT-15’s allure in Thailand, while in Malaysia. The 2022 variant flaunts Cyan Storm, Icon Blue, and Midnight Black hues at RM 12,298. Yamaha’s dedication to style, performance, and innovation shines on the vibrant streets of Thailand and the dynamic roads of Malaysia with the MT-15.
