He moved from Yamaha to Pramac Ducati, and adapting to the new bike might be tough when he tests in Sepang from Feb 6-8.
Pramac said Morbidelli had a bad crash on the Ducati V4S but luckily wasn’t hurt. Still, he’ll stay at Faro Hospital overnight just to be sure.
“The crash was bad, Franco went to the hospital for more checks. He seems okay, but we want him at Faro Hospital for a bit for safety,” said Pramac.
The accident happened at Turn 9 in Portimao, causing a red flag. Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez from Gresini Racing helped Morbidelli after the crash, showing MotoGP riders support each other.
As Morbidelli gets ready for Sepang testing, everyone will watch how well he adjusts to the new Ducati. The incident reminds us of MotoGP’s risks and why safety is crucial.
Details about the crash are scarce, but MotoGP is relieved Morbidelli is okay. The tests ahead will tell us how smoothly he can handle the Pramac Ducati. It sets the stage for an exciting season.
