Gogoro Unveils Pulse: The Future of Smart Scooters

Gogoro Inc. has announced its latest flagship model, the Smartscooter Pulse, in a recent press release. This new addition underscores the company’s commitment to performance, innovation, and design, setting new benchmarks for advanced and high-performing electric scooters.

Horace Luke, the founder and CEO of Gogoro, emphasized the company’s dedication to transforming the urban two-wheel landscape through cutting-edge innovation. He stated, “The Pulse introduces a new and exhilarating Gogoro riding experience. It utilizes our latest innovations in electric performance and aerodynamic efficiency with advanced lighting and an immersive interactive user experience.”

At the core of the Pulse is the H1 motor, a newly designed electric engine. Also the Hypercore, an intelligent system offering traction control and an impressive 378nm of torque to the rear wheel. The hybrid cooling system, utilizing both water and air, optimizes efficiency.

With Hyper Drive, the Pulse achieves unprecedented speed and power. It boasts a 0-50 km/h time of just 3.05 seconds. It is capable of achieving a max power output of 9.0 kW, and a max RPM of 11,000.

The Pulse features an advanced active-matrix lighting system with 13 independent LED units. It is capable of adapting to the rider’s speed, turns, and weather conditions. This innovation extends light for improved visibility at higher speeds. The active-corner lighting provides wider illumination during turns, ensuring safety and convenience.

The Pulse introduces a Smart Cockpit dashboard with a 10.25-inch panoramic HD touch display and Gogoro’s iQ Touch HD user interface. This immersive setup offers various ride modes, turn-by-turn navigation, real-time traffic information, and GoStation locations. Riders can select from six ride modes to tailor their experience, using the dedicated dial on the handlebars.

Gogoro’s Pulse takes connectivity to the next level by integrating the scooter key into the Apple Wallet app and utilizing Apple’s Find My feature. This seamless and secure integration enables users to lock, unlock, and start the scooter with a simple tap on an iPhone or Apple Watch. Additionally, the Find My app from Apple helps riders locate their Smartscooter effortlessly.

The Pulse is set to begin shipping in Taiwan in late Q2 of 2024. Gogoro’s latest flagship model is ready to make a significant impact on the micro-mobility industry.
