Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, CFMoto has introduced several new models that will penetrate the global market at the Beijing Motor Show that took place last June.

Among the models that stole the show is the ‘cruiser’ type motorcycle that will be gearing up for launch soon.

The 450CL-C is a brand new model and CFMoto’s first attempt to compete with other cruiser segments including the Kawasaki Eliminator 450 and Honda Rebel 500.

Information regarding the model is still scarce. However, we can be certain that the model features a classic retro cruiser design.

However, based on the application approval document filed by CFMoto, we were able to retrieve some important information about the CFMoto 450CL-C.

Based on the consent document, the 450CL-C features a 449cc parallel-twin engine with code 272MQ. The engine code directly tells us that the 450CL-C features the same engine found in the 450SR and 450NK. Power is sent to the rear tires through a 6-speed manual transmission.

However, CFMoto has retuned the 272MQ engine to produce 40hp compared to the 50hp offered by the 450SR and 450NK. The engine’s re-tuning is likely to focus on better torque at low and mid-rpm.

According to the document that the 450CL-C is equipped with a USD-type fork (upside/down) at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Another aspect we can confirm is the use of 4-pot radial brake callipers from J. Juan with ABS matched with 300mm discs at the front.

We can expect CFMoto to officially introduce the 450CL-C for the global market at EICMA 2023.
