This new SRK600RR by QJMotor attempts to shake things up in the 600cc segment.

Even though the 600cc segment is getting less popular due to strict global emission regulations, this did not dim the hopes and plans of Chinese manufacturer, QJMotor in introducing the SRK600RR.

While Yamaha has already discontinued the production of the YZF-R6 (except for the race track) and Honda now only sells the CBR600RR in selected markets, QJMotor took a bold step with the SRK600RR.

This model houses a 600cc DOHC 16-valve 4-inline engine with a liquid cooling system (same as the SRK600). This engine is capable of generating 81hp at 11,000rpm and 51Nm. Although the figure is not as high as the R6 and CBR600RR, the new model somewhat ensures the survival of the 600cc supersport segment.

Interestingly, this SRK600RR also comes with an IMU system which is a first for a QJMotor machine. The model also operates with the Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) system. The system includes dual-channel ABS that regulates the front 320mm (twin) brake disc and 260mm (single) brake disc. back.

The suspension package includes a USD fork from Kayaba (KYB) with a ‘monoshock’ at the back. Other features on offer include full LED lighting and a 16.4L tank.

Although the features of this QJMotor SRK600RR are only at the medium level of the scale, what this new model can promise is a more affordable price. This is especially for those who want to tame themselves with a ‘supersport’ machine before switching to a 1000cc motorcycle.

We can expect that this model is also likely to be marketed in Malaysia together with the SRK600.
