Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS) officially launched the highly-anticipated Modenas Ninja 650 and Z650 for the local market.

EMOS has revealed two colour options for the Modenas Ninja 650 in Metallic Matte Graphenestell Gray and Lime Green/Ebony. The Modenas Z650 comes with a price tag of RM34,500 for Metallic Spark Black. On the other hand, the Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray is available at RM35,200.

Both models feature a 649cc parallel-twin engine that offers 67.3hp at 8,000rpm and 65.7Nm at 6,500rpm.

Since both latest models made their way to the global market in September last year, they come with an adjustable three-level Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) function.

In mode 1, the system will measure the tire rotation rate to increase the level of grip when entering and exiting corners.

Meanwhile, riders can activate mode 2 on slippery surfaces such as wet, sandy and rocky roads. Mode 2 will ensure the ‘traction control’ acts faster to balance the motorcycle.

For those who want a challenge and tough riding, especially on the circuit, users can also deactivate KTRC at once.

Users can access KTRC functions through the included colour TFT screen display.

The bike maintains the use of a steel trellis frame and dons a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a ‘back-link’ type shock absorber at the back.
