For those who like to travel, Stelvio is a popular mountain in Italy with a height of 2,757 meters above sea level. However, for those who love the Moto Guzzi brand, Stelvio refers to the ‘adventure’ motorcycle produced from 2007 to 2017.
Moto Guzzi has good news if you are a fan of the motorcycle! This is because the Stelvio is all set for a revival. The parent company, Piaggio Group, has filed a patent for the Stelvio name and confirmed that the ADV motorcycle would be reintroduced.
Moto Guzzi redeveloped the Stelvio using the V100 Mandello as the primary basis. This was also evident in the recent spy shots.
The image clearly shows the design of the V100 Mandello but with some significant differences. This includes longer forks and spoke-type rims instead of alloys. Also visible is a taller wind deflector to complete the ADV image.
In addition, we can see the addition of the ‘handguard’ component, bashplate and higher position of the signal lights.
There is no detailed info at the moment. However, considering the latest generation Stelvio uses the same platform as the V100 Mandello, we expect this new model also to offer a power of around 115hp and 105Nm.
We can also expect Moto Guzzi to reveal the model officially at EICMA 2023 in Milan this November.
