Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS) is now the official distributor of the Kawasaki brand in Malaysia.

The collaboration saw Modenas rebrand the 650cc model and below and we can see a whole new vibe with the launch of the Modenas Ninja 250 and Z250.

In the latest development, we understand that EMOS will soon start marketing 650cc machines under the Modenas umbrella.

Following recent information, we can expect EMOS to introduce the Modenas Versys 650 this July. The news is sure to please motorcycle enthusiasts in Malaysia who are awaiting the arrival of the model.

This is because each Modenas-branded model is fully assembled in Gurun, Kedah. This guarantees a lower price than the CBU model under the old management.

The latest generation model comes with a TFT meter panel and a Euro 5 standard engine. The model also features KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and ABS functions.

For the record, the Versys 650 houses a parallel-twin 649cc 4-stroke DOHC, 8-valve engine with a liquid cooling system. It is capable of producing 65hp and 64Nm at 7,000rpm.
