CFMoto unveils mini-moto Papio X-O 1 for the China market

The Papio X-O 1 is CFMoto’s latest entry to the mini-moto segment with a 125cc single-cylinder engine.

CFMoto’s popularity is skyrocketing especially through its 450SR, 700CL-X, 800MT and recent 800NK models.

The motorcycle brand from China is also reported to be actively developing a 1,000cc platform with a V4 configuration in an effort to produce a high-powered ‘sportsbike’ machine.

Even so, CFMoto does not exclude the ‘mini-moto’ segment which is currently popular with the Honda Monkey 125 and MSX125 (Grom) models. To boost the segment, CFMoto has introduced the Papio XO-1 in China.

Interestingly, the Papio XO-1 is the only ‘mini-moto’ that applies the image of a retro ‘sportsbike’. According to CFMoto, this model features a 125cc single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and a fuel injection system. It is capable of producing 9.5hp at 8,500rpm and 8.3Nm at 6,500rpm.

Although it is not a powerful motorcycle, the appearance of the Papio XO-1 is the main feature that draws the most attention. The twin round LED front lights feature an ‘X’ and ‘O’ design. The rear LED lights are above the exhaust and appear with black lines that create more retro elements.
