The iconic Husqvarna Nuda will be making its return soon after its first appearance in 2012.

Husqvarna is set to revive the iconic Nuda model soon after many have spotted the prototype machine undergoing testing in Europe.

Based on the ‘spy shot’ shared by Germany’s Motorrad, the latest generation Nuda features KTM’s LC8c 890cc engine.

KTM AG now owns the Husqvarna brand, thus it is no surprise that the all-new model borrows some equipment from KTM machinery.

First, the use of a trellis frame similar to the KTM 890 DUKE R but matched with a more premium suspension. Also visible is the aluminium swingarm which is also from KTM.

However, the iconic Nuda lights are clearly visible on the prototype model and are the main difference between the Husqvarna and KTM machines.

If anyone feels less convinced that the prototype refers to a Husqvarna machine, just look at the leather jacket worn by the test rider in the photo for proof.

For the record, Husqvarna introduced the Nuda 900R in 2012, when the Swedish motorcycle brand was still under BMW. At that time, the model featured the same engine as the BMW F800 and produced around 100hp.

The company discontinued Nuda’s production shortly afterwards. The naked motorcycle with the ‘supermoto’ style then quickly became one of the jewels in the world of two wheels.

We can expect the return of the Husqvarna Nuda soon based on the spy shots. Looking at the condition of the machinery, the machine is almost complete. It is likely that the model will make an official appearance soon as a 2024 release model.
