OFFICIAL: Yamaha EZ115 launched in Malaysia at RM5,598

With Lagenda 115 out of the way, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has introduced its new Yamaha EZ115 for Malaysia.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has added to the lineup of motorcycles in the kapcai segment in Malaysia by introducing the new Yamaha EZ115.

This Yamaha EZ115 features a 144cc 4-stroke, 2-valve SOCH engine with fuel injection (FI). It is capable og generating 8.5hp at 7,000rpm and 9.5NM at 5,500rpm.

Interestingly, the engine on this EZ115 also managed to reach the Euro4 rating. Users can kick start the bike with the use of ‘kick start’ or electrically. Engine power is sent to the rear tires through a 4-speed transmission.

Although it only comes with a 3.9L tank, Yamaha claims this EZ115 offers efficient fuel efficiency as well as practicality for daily use.

At the same time, with a (dry) weight of only 95kg, this motorcycle is also suitable for every age group.

Other equipment includes front single-disc brakes with axial brake callipers, telescopic-type front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.

For the record, this new Yamaha EZ115 replaces the Yamaha Legend 115Z model.

HLYM also informed that the Yamaha EZ115 will also compete in this year’s Cub Prix in the ‘one-make race’ event.
