Representative of the official distributor of Honda motorcycles in Malaysia, Boon Siew Honda (BSH) has officially launched the Honda Vario 160 (2022) scooter to the local market. The model comes at a base price of RM9,998 per unit, excluding insurance, road tax and registration.

The Honda Vario 160 2022 is a model targeting urban scooter enthusiasts who value performance, comfort and lifestyle aspects.

The model comes in four optional colours. Buyers can opt for Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue, Sword Silver Metallic or Mat Charcoal Gray Metallic.

The gray tone scheme goes on sale from February 2023. On the other hand, the other three colors will be available by the end of this week.

Honda announced two base prices for the Honda Vario 160 (2022) with a price difference of RM300. The Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue, Sword Silver Metallic colours are available at RM9,998. On the other hand, the Charcoal Gray Metallic Mat hue comes with a price tag of RM10,298.

The 4-stroke 4-valve single cylinder 157cc eSP+ liquid-cooled engine with PGM-FI fuel injection (FI) technology produces 15.18hp @ 8,500rpm and 13.8Nm @ 7,000rpm torque. The engine is then mated to a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda has built the model on a lighter and more durable Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF) frame. This ensures more agile handling and a better daily riding experience. The manufacturer has also equipped the bike with the Honda Smart Key System (SKS). Honda then paired it with a security alarm system and a call back system to facilitate the owner’s search for a scooter parking location.
