Updated Honda Vario 160 all set for launch on November 22

Boon Siew Honda will be launching the new Honda Vario 160 on November 22.

Ahead of the launch, several dealers have already started to advertise the brand-new compact scooter. What caught the attention of many is the price tag of the Honda Vario 160, which is around RM9,800.

This is an RM2,000 price increase from the previous Honda Vario 150. Despite that, there is yet to be any confirmation about the current pricing. We can expect answers to the speculation on the launch day itself.

For the record, the Honda Vario has been upgraded for 2022 with a new and larger engine, from 150cc to 160cc. The engine generates 15.2hp at 8,500rpm and 13.8Nm at 7,000rpm compared to 13hp and 12.9Nm before.

In addition, the model now features ‘daytime running light’ (DRL). Honda has also introduced the ABS function to the scooter for the first time.

The new Vario 160 also comes with front and rear disc brakes replacing the previous drum brakes (at the rear).
