Italian motorcycle brand, Fantic Motor, will be making its entrance into the Malaysian market soon. Fantic made its debut in Malaysia recently when it participated in the Rimba Raid 2022 with the Fantic Caballero Rally 500 machine.

However, 2023 will see Fantic offering an all-new Caballero with a larger engine capacity. Fantic has just revealed its latest Caballero 700 at the ongoing EICMA motorcycle show in Milan.

According to Fantic, the Caballero 700 is a genuine and high-performance ‘scrambler’ motorcycle. It features a 689cc twin-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and a ‘twin-shaft timing’ system. This Caballero 700 is capable of generating 75hp and 68Nm.

Interestingly, this model also comes with modern features including a round 3.5-inch TFT screen. Users can connect their smartphones to it via Bluetooth.

Other electronic features on offer include three riding modes; Road, Off-Road, and Custom, as well as full LED lights.

The safety aspect of the Caballero 700 is quite satisfactory with the presence of traction control and cornering ABS.

For the record, this Fantic Caballero 700 was developed with a ‘single steel backbone’ type frame and matched with an aluminum ‘swingarm’.

This model also gets other premium equipment including a suspension system from Marzocchi which consists of a 45mm VRM front fork.

As a ‘scrambler’ motorcycle, this Caballero 700 comes with 19″ front and 17″ rear rims with brakes by Brembo radial calipers. It is matched with 330mm front and 245mm rear brake discs.

With a weight of only 180kg, there is no denying that this Caballero 700 is definitely a choice for those interested in ‘off-road’ activities. Even so, this Fantic Caballero 700 is also suitable for daily riding with a 14L tank.

According to Fantic, the Caballero 700 will be marketed in the global market from April 2023.
