HLYM to introduce more big bikes starting 2023

Malaysians might stand a chance to see the Tenere 700 rolled out in the local market.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) officially launched the 2022 Yamaha TMax Tech Max for the local market on Thursday. Interestingly, during the launch, HLYM also informed that more high-powered Yamaha motorcycle models will be introduced after this starting in 2023.

The statement sparked curiosity among local enthusiasts. According to sources, HLYM has already carried out a study and found that the demand for ‘off-road’ machinery is increasing at the moment and thus becoming the company’s direction.

Based on that information, speculations are that the model with ‘off-road’ capability is none other than the Tenere 700.

The middle-class ‘adventure’ motorcycle has garnered much attention for the past few years.

The Tenere 700 recently successfully dominated the Rimba Raid 2022 race which took place in Taman Negara, Pahang.

Despite that, information is still scarce and only HLYM will be able to give us a true answer as to when will we able to see the Tenere 700.
