Last September, CFMoto exhibited the NK-C22 streetfighter concept model with the KTM LC8c powertrain. However, the concept model does not look much different from the up-and-coming production.
There are four photos of the production version model sketches that went viral after the Chinese manufacturer registered the design with the sketches revealing some changes to the production version of the 800NK model.
The engine is expected to be a KTM LC8c 799cc in-line twin-cylinder, the same as in the CFMoto 800MT model. CFMoto did indeed produce the engine for KTM and has even produced the same for several markets.
KTM switched to a bigger engine, which is the 890 (889cc), while CFMoto maintains the older version, which is 799cc that KTM used for the 790 series before.
The power output of the 800NK is similar to the 800MT, which is 95hp and 77Nm. It uses twin swingarms, not just on one side like the concept model. The change may be due to the fact that twin swingarms provide better handling benefits.
It also features a new single exhaust system which replaces the SC Project exhaust and is mounted high near the rear tail of the bike.
There are foot pegs for pillions as well. The concept model does not have those features. The model has an expected weight of under 200kg.
It is expected to be launched in conjunction with the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA), next month.
