Benelli is seeking to introduce a new 799 cc roadster which will likely be called the Benelli 802S.

Benelli 752S was already in the global market in early 2021 and was also launched in Malaysia in February 2021 with a price of RM37,888. Despite appearing with an aggressive and ‘sporty’ design, the model equipped with a 754cc parallel-twin engine lags behind in terms of power, offering only 75hp and 67Nm.

Although the power is on par with the Yamaha MT-07, the 752S is much heavier at 228kg compared to 183kg. However, in the latest development, we can expect that Benelli will overcome that problem by introducing the 802S version.

Benelli Expected To Release 802S Naked Streetfighter

This is because the Chinese-Italian motorcycle brand has already filed an approval document in China which reveals that the upcoming model will not only be more powerful (with a larger engine capacity) but also lighter.

According to the document, the latest generation motorcycle increased by 45cc to 799cc with power also increased from 75hp to 95hp.

Not only that, but Benelli also managed to reduce around 20 kilograms compared to the 752S model.

Although it is not stated what the reason for the lighter weight is but we expect Benelli to upgrade the frame, swingarm and rim to achieve these results.

However, some other features, including the 50mm fork from Marzocchi and Brembo brakes, are still maintained.
