After being introduced as a concept machine during the EICMA 2019 motorcycle exhibition, Husqvarna officially introduced the Norden 901 globally in November last year.

However, after more than eight months, the first ‘adventure’ motorcycle from the Swedish motorcycle company is finally introduced to the Malaysian market at a price of RM98,800.

Although built on the KTM 890 Adventure platform, this Norden 901 comes with a much different design. The Norden 901 body panel looks more prominent and wide compared to the 890 Adventure which is more minimalist and slender.

However, the 890cc parallel-twin engine that powers the Norden 901 still offers 103hp and 100Nm.

This Husqvarna Norden 901 also comes with 19″ front and 18″ rear rims and is matched with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR (tubeless) tires that are suitable for use on-road and off-road surfaces.

Interestingly, the front suspension system from WP Apex offers a higher travel distance than KTM, which is 215mm and 220mm compared to 200mm on the 890 Adventure.

Norden 901 is also equipped with modern electronic features including three riding modes (Rain, Street and Off-Road) while customers can also choose the ‘Explore’ mode which is offered competitively.
