The official distributor of Honda Motorcycles in Malaysia, Boon Siew Honda has just officially introduced the new upgraded CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports in the local market.

Boon Siew Honda has officially introduced the 2022 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sport that comes with some of the latest upgrades.

For the year 2022, Honda has updated the DCT (dual-clutch transmission) transmission system which sees gears 1 and 2 now smoother and facilitates control at low speeds. The HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) operating system has also been upgraded to offer the rider selectable rear tire movement control when riding ‘off-road’.

Honda also improved the part of the wind barrier which is now 110mm shorter and offers five levels of adjustment.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sport DCT tank now also offers a 24.8L filling space in addition to different body panels aimed at better protecting the rider from wind resistance. Interestingly, this 2022 model also comes with a grip with a heating function (heated grip).

Other electronic features also found on the CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sport DCT include 6-axis IMU, Wheelie Control, Cornering ABS, Rear Lift Control, DCT Cornering Detection, and four riding modes; Urban, Tour, Gravel and Off-Road.

This 2022 model also comes with Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (semi-active electronic suspension) which can be adjusted according to choice; Soft, Mid, Hard and Off-Road.

The most prominent upgrade also sees the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sport DCT also comes with a 6.5-inch TFT meter display with ‘touchscreen’ function. Interestingly, the display also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions to make it easier to connect to smartphones.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sport DCT remains powered by a 1,084cc parallel-twin engine that generates 101hp at 7,500rpm and 104Nm @ 6,250rpm.

According to BSH, this motorcycle is offered at a price of RM117,888 and comes with only one colour option, namely Pearl Glare White Tricolour.
