The new distributor of the Kawasaki motorcycle brand in Malaysia, Edaran Modenas (EMOS) has confirmed that the ZX-25R model will enter the Malaysian market next year.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MODENAS, Roslan Roskan confirmed the matter in a meeting at the MODENAS factory, Gurun, Kedah, yesterday.
The confirmation also saw Malaysia join Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam which will offer the unique model soon.
Roslan confirms that the model will be entering Malaysia but the issue of whether it is locally assembled (CKD) or CBU is still under discussion with Kawasaki.
The Kawasaki ZX-25R features a 249.8cc 4-inline DOHC engine that offers 50hp at 15,500rpm (51hp with Ram Air) and 22.9Nm at 14,500rpm with a compression ratio of 11.5: 1.
