Suzuki Ecstar will officiate the MotoGP team for the 2022 season at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on February 4.
The launch will be taking place at 5 pm at the SIC. Riders Joan Mir and Alex Rins will be unveiling the 2022 GSX-RR machinery.
Interestingly, the launch of the Suzuki team for the 2022 season will also take place on the same date as the Yamaha factory team.
The 2022 season will be a tough year for the team because after Mir emerged world champion in 2020, the team not only failed to repeat the success but was unable to place itself among the main competitors for the championship.
THe GSX-RR engine exhibits consistent performance and does not face technical problems. However, the power aspect is still lagging behind when compared to the YZR-M1 and Ducati GP21 last season.
Apart from the launch of the new team and livery of the GSX-RR machinery, the official test session on 5 to 6 February will also determine the level of capability of the Suzuki machinery by the 2022 season.
